Scott is a proud member of the Miles government, and currently also serving as Minister for Resources and Critical Minerals. 

Scott moved with his family to Townsville more over 25 years ago and since that time, he’s watched it grow to become the largest city in Northern Australia, the events capital of Northern Australia and the home of the mighty NQ Cowboys and the Townsville Fire. 

Prior to entering politics, he was a school principal at both Townsville and Pimlico State High School. He holds a Bachelor of Education and Masters Degree from the Queensland University of Technology.
